Project Information
Scope

Producing quality timber and wood chip for pathway creation from a tree felled in a client’s garden to be reused as part of a major landscape design and development plan. Working with James Vann of Summerhill Wordwork we were able to create a variety of different sizes of planks and boards for use both internally as wall panels and externally as a building material, making use of the beautiful grain of the tree and its insect repellent properties.

Summary of Work
  • Milling a large Cedar and Sycamore into a variety of quartersawn planks and boards
  • Creating woodchip from the remainder of both trees for path creation and weed suppression
Ecological Impact

Processing trees that have grown, lived and died (of natural causes) in a client’s garden into products for use as part of that garden’s regeneration and ongoing ecological value
